Any identity, contact or financial data we may need to collect from you in order to register you as a guest and carry out your booking will be stored securely and only used for the purposes of your booking with Lupton House. We will not share your data with external third parties. Under certain circumstances, you have the right under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioners’ Office, the UK regulator for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk).

cancellation policy

Cancellation by the Guest

Full refunds will be given for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the scheduled date of arrival is at least 14 days away.

No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 14 days before schedule date of arrival. 

We take all Bookings in good faith and as we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made at The Cottage forms a legally binding contract. 

Cancellation by Us

Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Should you wish us to, we will attempt to book you into another local bed and breakfast of a similar standard. Should this bed and breakfast be more expensive than The Cottage, we will pay the difference for the first night of your stay. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.
